In order to contribute to improving the air pollution control of Beijing, all 73 boiler houses using coal-fired boilers over 1t/h in central government offices managed by the Institutional Affairs Bureau of the State Council have to be transformed to use clean fuel from 2000 to 2002. CNEEC took the responsibility for the whole process, including reconstruction of building and structure, and procurement of equipment through tendering. The transformation of 15 boiler houses was completed in 2000, all of which were put into service before November 10 of the year. CNEEC was highly commended upon its excellence in design and service by the clients.
